Budgeting SEO at Scale — Share anonymized real spend, models, SOWs & ROI
Calling procurement, marketing, and SEO leads: we’re building a benchmark library for medium-to-large orgs and need anonymized, first-hand examples. Please post concise entries with these fields (redact names/details):
• Company size & industry (employees, revenue band)
• Region / currency and year of the contract
• Monthly or annual SEO spend range (if possible, low–high)
• Pricing model (retainer, project, hourly, performance-based, blended)
• Where work lives (in-house vs agency vs freelancers) and % split
• Primary scope (technical SEO, content, linkbuilding, international, local, analytics, other)
• Onboarding/tool costs (one-time and ongoing subscriptions)
• Contract length, notice/exit terms, and any performance clauses
• KPIs used to evaluate success and the ROI/outcomes you actually saw (traffic, conversions, revenue, keyword ranks, pages indexed, etc.)
• Biggest wins and failures (what moved the needle, what didn’t)
• Negotiation tips, pricing templates, or SOW/RFP language you found effective (redacted is fine)
If you can, attach or paste redacted SOW/RFP snippets, pricing templates, or negotiation clauses. Please keep entries short (1–3 paragraphs) and indicate whether we may include your anonymized example in a public aggregated report. Real examples from different regions and industries are especially useful.
